Toronto base label, Cash Global Records, have joined forces
with the administrators of Weetoms Plaza
(located at 101 Newland Road in Portmore St. Catharine, Jamaica) and is
immediately implementing several changes that will see Weetoms Plaza becoming a key party destination on the island. With
an outdoor capacity of approximately 3,000 and additional indoor and balcony
space, CG Records CEO, Richard Williams and his team, are busy creating events
that they hope will keep the patrons coming.
Weetoms Plaza will
be having their grand re-opening this weekend. On Friday, February 1st,
recording artist Don Naro alongside the Nuh Behavia crew and Great Acres will
host Cash
Global Fridays. Music will be provided by Sky Juice, Sun Jock Peanut,
Bill Cosby and others. And there will be several game competitions with an
opportunity to win up to $10,000 in giveaways. This will be a weekly event.
On Saturday, February 2nd and every Saturday
thereafter the Sky Scraper Family will bring you Sky Scraper Saturdays.
This event will be held in Cash Global HQ Nightclub (which is unit 5 at Weetoms Plaza). Music will be provided
by Mighty D, DJ Famous, DJ Chad, Boagie and Tweetie Bird and the event will be
filmed by Swag TV.
On the last Sunday in March team CGR will be hosting the Cash
Global Invitational Domino Elimination Tournament. The winner of this
tournament will receive $100,000 in cash, while second place will get $20,000
and third place $10,000.
