Over the last few months, Frenz For Real, a small studio based in Tower Hill, Kingston Jamaica has been getting a lot of attention for the kind of music that they have been putting out. This year alone they have released hits such as “state of emergency” by Smokie Benz, “rum inna it” by Propally, as well as several songs by more established artists like Natty King, Natural Black and Josey Wales.
On Saturday, December 4th there talents were center stage at the annual Jammin Vibez Fest held in Port Morant, St. Thomas, Jamaica. The event featured Bounty Killer and the Alliance family, Khago, Prophecy and others. But it was the artists from the Frenz For Real camp that stole the show.
The early part of the show, which generally has upcoming artists, was clearly taken by Janelle (a female singer currently signed to Frenz For Real) and Smokie Benz (another Frenz For Real artist). Later on in the show when the stars came out, it was kernel Josey that blew them away. Josey Wales is also a member of the Frenz For Real family.
