MJE TOP TEN UNDERGROUND REGGAE/DANCEHALL CHART

For years persons have been encouraging me to do a top ten chart for the Reggae/Dancehall industry. I have been told that it is hard to determine what is really going on musically because most of the charts that are out now are for sale. What this means is that artists with financial backing can easily buy a number one spot regardless if the public thinks that they have a number one song or not. With that in mind, I have decided to launch the MJE Top Ten Underground Reggae/Dancehall Chart. The idea is to have the top ten underground Reggae/Dancehall songs featured on a weekly basis.

I will let it be clear right here and now that this chart is NOT FOR SALE. So if your song is not legitimately voted on, you cannot get or stay on the chart. To vote for a song to get on or stay on the chart email the artist name and song title to mariajacksonent@gmail.com. The song must be already released and available to the public.

Songs with the most votes will climb to the top. The chart will be posted weekly on www.mjent.net www.mjmagazine.wordpress.com and www.mariajacksonent.blogspot.com. Additionally, the Top Ten Underground Reggae/Dancehall chart will be featured on the Triple D show with DJ Dalvy on UFDV Radio which airs on 87.9 fm in Jamaica and online at www.ufdvradio.com. The Triple D show airs on Fridays 9pm-12am, Saturdays 8-11pm and Sundays 3-6pm.

The artist with the #1 song will be highlighted on the aforementioned website.
