Blazing a trail across the landscape of neo-roots reggae,
sing-jay Kashu is among the core
group of new blood to emerge on a determined mission to heal the world with
music. Kashu (formerly Cashew Man)
has steadily carved out a place for himself performing all over: from major
concerts in his hometown of Toll Gate, Clarendon in Jamaica, to big stages
across Europe, USA and the Caribbean.
His latest project is “elevation
requires separation”, a track he recorded on the now popular Reggae Land
Riddim Remix by Street Digital Records (from Toronto, Ontario). In the
track Kashu makes reference to his
recent appearance in the movie “Out the Gate”, stating; every elevation –
requires separation – so if me movie mek it nutt’n no wrong. Reggae Land Riddim
Remix is a spinoff of the original Reggae Land Riddim and both projects
features the likes of Sizzla Kalonji, Karamanti, Fabigeez, Keron Williams and many
others.
