The Island Groove TV show was created as a spin- off to the
highly successful Radio show, which has been broadcast on
Caribbeanvibesradio.com for over 8 years. The TV show is created and produced
by DJ Solo in partnership with Maria
Jackson Entertainment and Caribbean Vibes Radio. As with the radio show, DJ Solo's goal is to give his audience a visual taste of Caribbean
culture with the TV program.
With no shortage of music and videos in the Reggae/Dancehall
and Soca/Calypso genres, DJ Solo has
always been one to stay away from the mainstream when it comes to what he plays
on his show. His view has always been that “there is too much music in the
world to play the same thing everyday”. The same is true for the video show, he
delivers a broad cross section of Caribbean videos that may not always be
popular, but are good never the less.
